Early Voting: October 20-27, 2026
Election Day: November 3, 2026

West Monroe City Court serves the city of West Monroe and Ward 5.

My Vision & Mission

Built by this Community. Ready for the Bench.

West Monroe is my hometown, and service to this community has shaped both my personal and professional life. If elected, I will bring ethical leadership, steady judgment, and a deep respect for families and individuals who rely on our court system. I am committed to justice that is fair, accessible, and grounded in my values of faith and excellence.

Integrity at the Center.

With experience practicing law at one of the South’s largest regional firms and leading a corporate Ethics and Compliance program, I will serve from the bench with fairness, sound judgment, and unquestioned integrity.

Community First.

West Monroe built me, and giving back to this community has long been a central part of my life. As a youth leader, I care deeply about the young people of this city—their future, their safety, and the opportunities ahead of them—and I will carry that commitment with me to the bench.

Honor Excellence, Embrace Progress.

My experience working at West Monroe City Court gave me an early understanding of its important role in our community. As judge, I will build on its tradition of excellence while bringing strong leadership, thoughtful innovation, and a modern, service-oriented approach to the court experience.

Background & Experience

Brandi Cole, who has 17 years of experience practicing law, currently serves as an attorney and Vice President of Ethics and Compliance at a Monroe-based Fortune 500 company, where she has worked for 12 years.  In this role, she oversees the company’s Ethics and Compliance program, corporate investigations, and a broad range of corporate legal matters. Before entering the corporate sector, Cole practiced law for five years with Phelps Dunbar, LLP, in Baton Rouge, where she handled labor and employment matters, litigation in federal and state court, and business transactions.

Cole earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Louisiana Tech University, graduating summa cum laude. While attending Louisiana Tech, she worked part‑time at West Monroe City Court, an experience that sparked her longstanding interest in the justice system. She later earned her Juris Doctorate from the LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center, graduating with honors (Order of the Coif).

Raised in West Monroe, Cole is deeply connected to the community she calls home. She and her husband, David, have been married for 19 years, and they have two children, Annie, a student at West Monroe High School, and Cooper, who will attend West Ridge Middle School in the fall.

Committed to service and our community’s next generation, Brandi is a member of Christ Church, where she has served as a youth leader for the past five years. She has also served for nine years on the board of the Twin City Ballet, including terms as President and President‑Elect. In addition, Brandi has served on the Northeast Louisiana Arts Council, the Louisiana Access to Justice Commission, and the Executive Leadership Council for Picture This… Our Time Is Now, a campaign for the City of West Monroe.

Cole believes her experience leading an Ethics and Compliance program, combined with her law firm background and history with city court, has prepared her well for the bench.  She plans to lead with integrity, put her community first, and continue the history of excellence and fairness at West Monroe City Court, while also bringing a modern, service-oriented approach to the court experience.
